I am proud to have brought this case against the federal government\u2019s overreach, defending the right of states like Arizona to administer our elections as the Constitution requires.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n<p>The ruling by U.S. District Court Judge Denise Casper in Boston effectively converts a preliminary injunction she issued a year ago, in which she temporarily blocked many of Trump\u2019s efforts to overhaul elections, into a permanent ban.<\/p>\n<p><b>RELATED STORY | <\/b><b>Trump delays housing bill signing, demands SAVE America Act pass first<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Casper rejected the administration\u2019s argument that the lawsuit to block the changes brought by Democratic state attorneys general was premature because the rules had yet to be implemented.
