{"id":719,"date":"2026-05-25T22:07:02","date_gmt":"2026-05-25T22:07:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arizonamovinginsider.com\/?p=719"},"modified":"2026-05-25T22:07:02","modified_gmt":"2026-05-25T22:07:02","slug":"man-killed-by-secret-service-was-under-an-order-to-stay-away-from-white-house","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arizonamovinginsider.com\/?p=719","title":{"rendered":"Man killed by Secret Service was under an order to stay away from White House"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<p>The man who died after exchanging gunfire with the U.S. Secret Service near the White House on Saturday had been arrested at the complex twice before in 2025 and was ordered to stay away. <\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/arizonamovinginsider.com\/?p=717\">Georgia sixth grader has high hopes in return to Scripps National Spelling Bee<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The U.S. Secret Service said 21-year-old Nasire Best approached a checkpoint shortly after 6 p.m. ET on Saturday, \u201cremoved a weapon from his bag and began firing at posted officers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Officers returned fire and hit the suspect, who was transported to an area hospital, where he later died, according to the Secret Service.<\/p>\n<p>A bystander was struck, but a law enforcement official said it wasn\u2019t clear whether that person was struck by the suspect\u2019s initial bullets or those fired subsequently by officers.<\/p>\n<p>Court records filed in the U.S. District Court in Washington show Best was known for walking around the White House complex and asking for ways to get inside.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/arizonamovinginsider.com\/?p=715\">Trump says Iran deal should include additional countries joining Abraham Accords<\/a><\/p>\n<p><b>RELATED STORY | <\/b><b>Suspect dead after approaching White House checkpoint with weapon, Secret Service says<\/b><\/p>\n<p>In June 2025, he was arrested for trying to block a vehicle entry point.<\/p>\n<p>A month later, he returned and ignored verbal commands not to try to enter a restricted area.
