PHOENIX — Three people are in critical condition after a multi-vehicle crash in Phoenix late Thursday night.

Phoenix Fire Department crews responded to reports of a crash involving multiple people around 10:45 p.m. at the intersection of 59th Avenue and McDowell Road.
PFD says on arrival they found a multi-vehicle crash, with one patient needing to be extricated.
Phoenix police say a pickup truck was speeding and drove through a red light when it hit another vehicle. The crash caused the second vehicle to hit a business, and the truck to hit a light pole.

The driver of the second vehicle, 43-year-old Cecilia Cisneros Cuadros, was taken to a hospital where she died. A passenger in the same vehicle, a 20-year-old, received non-life-threatening injuries, police say.
The driver of the truck, a 21-year-old man, was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police say once the driver is released from the hospital, he will be arrested for suspicion of DUI.
