PHOENIX — A deadly crash involving a pedestrian is under investigation along Interstate 10 in the West Valley early Thursday morning.

Arizona Department of Public Safety officials confirmed the crash around 4:30 a.m. in the westbound lanes near 67th Avenue.
DPS says a pedestrian in the roadway was struck by two vehicles and was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to DPS, the pedestrian was part of another crash on the 67th Avenue off-ramp. DPS says another driver reported that he exited his vehicle and intentionally jumped in front of oncoming traffic.

The pedestrian has only been identified as a man.
