PHOENIX — A pedestrian is dead after a collision in the West Valley early Monday morning.

The crash occurred just before 5:40 a.m. near 51st Avenue and Van Buren Street.
Phoenix police say a vehicle struck a pedestrian, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The person has not yet been identified.
